Assumptions:

• Time-of-use split: 35% off-peak, 40% peak, 25% shoulder wherever the plan has those windows. Change the split if you know your own pattern.
• Usage of 4,000 kWh a year, a reference figure used to compare plans on equal terms.
• Usage is spread evenly across the year and across each season.
